In God We Trust
It’s so part of our lives
It’s part of our past
But sometimes we seem to forget
That our creator made us free
Put us here so we could be

We all like to say

But that’s not always the truth
Why do we lie, pretend and descend
Into something we were never meant to do

He’s in control
But do we really put our faith

Too much in this world

Was founded on this very phrase (that we say)
Our holy Father gave us life
Freedom from most pain and strife
All because of what He designed
Even all our basic truths
Are just someone’s point of view
It’s all how you spin it
But why did He die for you and for me
If we could just make our faith what we want to?
Like a merry go round
We just go around in circles
Happily going wherever this world takes us
But we’ve got to stop
And look up
And really trust
Quit following the lies and take up the cross
We say that we believe,
In God, we trust
He’s in control
But do we really put our faith

Too much in this world
